was an easy hit for my first excersise in illustration.
It’s full of movement and humour and in my opinion John Tenniel’s illustrations were turgid – and unusually, Arthur Rackham’s were not much better.
I drew these in ink using a flexible dip G-nib because I read that Skottie Young used one for illustrating Fortunately the Milk.
