animals

this is a live page and regularly updated.  because it’s kinda chronological, the updates are at the bottom  – click here to scroll down direct to the latest stuff . . .

there are animals in my inktober page

but here are a few more for good measure, mostly done in response to odd requests or challenges.

tiger eating broccoli

This is what we call a Tania challenge – my twins both love animals but Tania has more of a sense of the ridiculous.

an elegant

I can’t remember whether the pun was deliberate or an effect of the spellchecker on whats-app.

Anyway, one thing led to another as it so often does.

bunny

on a throne reading a book (obviously)

horse on a bike

again a challenge but this time from someone on instagram I hadn’t previously heard of – Marta Altes

She was good enough to “like” it and comment on it which I thought was kind of her.

bees

examining the pollen brought in by a scout.  This time it was the other twin, Zoe who added the surreal suggestion that the examination would be done with a magnifying glass.

three toed

sloth, waiter, roller skates.  His name is Willow.

giant anteater

unusually without any further brief . . .

this camel

was done for one of Ania’s blog posts entitled Camel Beauty

"these existential conflicts

invariably ended with the aliens vanquishing the poor humans. The latter rendered helpless by giggles and slimy ears.”

a wino-sceros

for my dear chum Jim Lewis

This was

a daughter challenge. He’s called Prof. Squeakistein apparently.

And he’s inventing a humantrap.

dinos

always seem to get a “cool” tag in everyone’s mind.

This sketch all came together very fast and happily

Latest stuff starts here – updated early july 2019

commiss-ioned work

for a training slideshow in the middle east and depicted as animals to avoid ethnic prejudice

squirrel

trying to loosen a tough nut as they do

crocs

fall in love too, you know.

except

the nasty type – no-one loves them
